Thinner, Lighter and Faster. Apple has made iPad 2 official

Apple’s second generation tablet iPad 2 comes true. The original iPad has already made a huge success in the tablet industry. iPad 2 comes with an entirely fresh design which is 15% lighter and 33% thinner than the original iPad. Apple’s new innovations makes iPad 2 more and more faster. The original iPad brought a new definition for the tablet category mobile devices and hope iPad 2 can also achieve something may be even more than that.

Apple does not made any change in its screen size from the original iPad. iPad 2 comes with 9.7 inch multi touch LCD screen. Thinner and lighter design gives it a more stylish look than the original iPad. iOS 4.3 is used in the second generation iPad which makes it compatible for a lot more additional features. Apple’s latest dual core A5 processor is integrated in iPad 2. Graphical features will be awesome with this new processor. Apple included two cameras in iPad 2. VGA camera at the front is for Photo Booth and FaceTime. Rear facing camera is capable for shooting high definition videos. And the two cameras allows you to make FaceTime calls to iPod Touch, MAC and iPhone 4 users. Browsing and iTunes functionality will be much more faster with its iOS 4.3 OS. 9.7 inch screen delivers 1024×768 pixel resolution. Battery life is up to 10 hours which is more than what the users expect. Dimensions of iPad 2 are 241.2×185.7×8.8 mm and it weighs about 600 gms. This second generation tablet is available in two colors, Black and White. When comes to the software side, Apple has introduced two new applications for iPad 2, GarageBand and iMovie. Both of them will cost $4.99 each. On screen Keyboards, Guitars and Drums can be performed with GarageBand and iMovie is for uploading videos to Facebook, YouTube etc.

Apple introduced a new cover to protect iPad 2 screen. Its unique self aligning magnetic hinge allows you to attach and remove easily. And its micro fiber linings keeps the screen neat and clean. iPad 2 screen cover will cost $39 and the price will get varies according to the color change.

This iOS tablet will be available in the US market on March 11, 2011. This time Apple will release the CDMA and GSM models of iPad 2 at same price. On March 25th onwards Apple will start shipping their second generation iPad to 25 other countries also.
