Samsung has launched their Android 2.2 powered smartphone Galaxy Pop earlier this month in India. And a few days later they unveiled its CDMA version also. Now this handset is available in Indian market with an affordable price. Reliance, Tata Indicom and MTS are the operators who currently provides CDMA services for Samsung Galaxy Pop.

Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS is used in this Samsung touch phone. Galaxy Pop comes with 600 MHz processor. 3.15 inch TFT capacitive touch screen brings Galaxy Pop on the same track of Samsung’s previously launched Android touch phones. 3 mega pixel camera features autofocus and 3x digital zoom. Samsung integrated 150 MB of internal memory space in this handset. 3.15 inch screen provides 320×480 pixels resolution. Other specifications like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 and Micro USB 2.0 are also enabled in Samsung Galaxy Pop. Dimensions of Galaxy Pop are 112.4×59.9×11.5mm and weighs about 105 gms. Li-Ion 1200mAh battery is used in this phone and it delivers a talk time upto 380 mins in 3G and upto 570 mins in 2G services. Stand by time is upto 440 hrs for 3G and upto 570 hrs for 2G.

Did you activate 3G or GPRS in your connection ?. It is required for connecting your phone to internet.
not finding an exit option from the default web browser of samsung galaxy pop….i simply press red key button to exit but internet is not disconnected…and due to which my balance is getting deducted…plezz help me….!!!

You can exit from browser directly, if your internet conn did not get closed after you exit from browser, hold your power button for sometime and there you will see an option to stop the connection.
If you are not satisfied with your default Android browser, you can download opera from m.opera.com or grab it directly from Android Market

in samsung galaxy open the task manager under the RAM
in samsung galaxy open the task manager under the RAM tab “clear memory” option is given.for what purpose it has been given?
Because of less availability of RAM in some Samsung phones, apps running on the background may slow down your phone. Clear RAM memory will get rid of that issue.

Yup, many of the users are complaining about the battery life of Galaxy Pop. Disable the background sync in settings and turn off Wifi / GPS might help you to get it up to 2 days. I think 2 days is more than enough for an Android phone.

First you need to activate 3G services on your phone for high speed browsing, but you cannot perform video calling with this phone.
